Subsea Craft is an innovative defence technology business specialising in the test, evaluation, development and manufacture of surface and sub-surface naval vehicles and sea-launched aerial drones. Their aim is to secure competitive advantage through the accelerated research, development, and delivery of maritime technology.
The company has highly specific intellectual property allowing it to field crewed, uncrewed and autonomous capabilities that can network with other assets across a complex and highly dynamic battle space. The company sought assurance from Redstone Risk that it was arranging its business in a manner that could optimise business development and future orders whilst minimizing unnecessary exposure of its IP and burnout of critical staff.
How we helped:
Leading a team from Redstone Risk to undertake a fundamental review of all project, commercial and development activities, Will Foulds was able to deliver the recommendation for a new and highly effective projects’ management office. This was to provide real-time critical management information right across the business, thus eliminating previous engineering and business development stovepipes. Through implementation, the PMO became fundamental to Subsea Craft’s leadership team’s ability to effectively manage the issues, risks, uncertainties and opportunities that can derail technology-rich businesses.
Chris Carrington-Smith, the Chief Operating Officer of Subsea Craft, said:
“Will and the team from Redstone were fundamental to our project management reform and refresh. He quickly became a trusted adviser and I can’t thank Redstone enough for the platform they provided for our ongoing success.”
We believe that risk management isn’t just about managing risks; it's about enhancing performance by embedding risk-thinking into business decisions.
